St. Louis named Most Affordable Place to Live; plus Gas Range bans!

Home prices are at an all-time high; and mortgage rates, while historically reasonable, are at or near a 15 year high. What's a buyer to do? Well if you are in STL, buy now! St Louis has once again been recognized as one of the lowest cost major metros in the nation. Prices and rates may seem high, but when you look elsewhere, we look pretty darn good. My post includes a blurb on how gas range and furnace bans on future new construction around the country are beginning. This has been in and out of the news the last few months - see what is really happening here, as it will likely evolve into a long term trend. Similar to how existing gas powered vehicles are not really affected by new regulations that are promoting electric cars to be built, existing homes with natural gas are not affected by these new regulations, but future construction is beginning to be.
